As the foremost youth development service delivery agency in Ghana with a supporting Act of parliament, the National Youth Authority Act 939 (2016); the Authority today has a staff strength of 289, assisted by 1,200 personnel from NABCO, thanks to the government's flagship initiative.
The Authority has made remarkable improvement in its physical presence also, moving from operating in merely 56 districts at the end of 2016 to 217 Districts currently, bringing the Authority closer to the youth and making our programmes widely accessible to them as well.
Management has put plans in place to be present in the six newly created regions and remaining forty-three districts to ensure that our activities and operations much more accessible to the youth. A Scheme and Conditions of Service has been develop in a record time of 10 months giving hope of better working circumstances to our staff and paving the way to job permanency for our NABCO trainees.
