NYA CEO keeps promise to young June 3 disaster survivor

The Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Mr. Osman Ayariga Esq., has kept his promise to Solomon Akugru, a young June 3 disaster survivor, by enrolling him under the National Apprenticeship Programme.

This assurance follows a recent post by Mr. Kobby Kyei, a Ghanaian blogger, on May 30th, 2025, seeking assistance for the young survivor who now begs on the street after being left with severe facial scars and abandoned by his family.

During an interaction with the CEO at the NYA Head Office, Solomon narrated his story and expressed his willingness to learn a skill, specifically tiling, to earn a living.

Mr. Ayariga personally filled the forms on Solomon's behalf and commended blogger Kobby Kyei for his Touching Lives initiative.

He noted the Authority's willingness to engage further with his motive for youth empowerment and development.
