In a high-level engagement with the Ga Mantse, His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Mr. Osman Ayariga Esq., emphasized the urgent need to address youth unemployment and drug abuse, describing them as national security threats.
He outlined key NYA interventions, including the National Apprenticeship Program and the RED campaign, stating, “This is beyond just jobs—it’s about securing the future of our country. Through these initiatives, we are creating opportunities and restoring hope.”
Commending the Authority’s efforts, the Ga Mantse urged the youth to break away from harmful behaviors, declaring, “You cannot keep doing the same things and expect different outcomes.” He also called for stronger enforcement against drug abuse, including punitive measures to deter offenders.
