The World Belongs to Those Who Go the Extra Mile– DCEO to NSS Personnel

Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) responsible for Operations and Programs at the National Youth Authority (NYA), Mr. Nelson Owusu Ansah, has urged newly-posted National Service personnel of the Authority to go above and beyond during their one-year service to open doors to future opportunities.

On Tuesday, October 15 at a 2-day orientation for the personnel, Mr. Nelson encouraged the team to view their time with the Authority as a valuable opportunity, advising them to work hard, even without external motivation.

The DCEO emphasized the importance of humility and a willingness to learn from their superiors. "When you oblige and obey, your supervisors will open up to you, and you’ll have opportunities to gain exposure," he noted.

At the event hosted at the Conference room of NYA’s Head Office, he also highlighted that their affiliation with NYA positions the NSS personnel for future opportunities, including scholarships or jobs, with the Authority as a valuable reference.

For his part, the Director of Human Resources, Mr. Ekow Eshun, outlined the NYA's key objectives and mandate, encouraging the personnel to act responsibly and uphold the Authority's core values.

In addition, the Director of Programs, Mr. Archibald Donkorh, briefed the personnel on several priority projects and development initiatives at the NYA, urging them to put their best foot forward throughout their one-year service.
