Political Offices Have Expiry Dates, But Impact is Eternal” – Osman Ayariga NYA CEO
The Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Osman Abdulai Ayariga Esq., has stated that "political offices have expiry dates," but what truly matters is the impact made while serving. He made this remark during his official meeting with the staff of the NYA on January 29, 2025, as he outlined his vision for the Authority.
In his address, Ayariga emphasized the importance of working together to advance the goals of the NYA, assuring staff that he is committed to collaborative leadership. "I am not here to impose my will but to work hand in hand with all of you to ensure we achieve the betterment of this organization," he said.
He pledged to maintain an open-door policy, welcoming contributions and ideas from all stakeholders. Ayariga assured staff and partners that their insights and input would play a critical role in shaping the Authority's direction and empowering Ghana’s youth.
Among his priorities is the complete renovation of the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex, a project he promised to see through during his tenure. He also announced plans to implement a “24-hour economy office” to enhance the Authority's efficiency and accessibility in addressing the needs of the youth.
Ayariga stressed the importance of setting aside political affiliations and working deliberately to achieve the NYA’s goals. He encouraged all staff members and stakeholders to focus on the shared objective of youth development, in line with the vision of President John Dramani Mahama to “reset the country.”
He also called on local and international partners to support the Authority in empowering the youth. "Let’s work together to position the youth of this country on the path of prosperity, politics, and development," he urged, inviting innovative ideas and collaboration to reshape Ghana’s youth agenda.
In concluding his remarks, Ayariga expressed gratitude to the NYA Media Team for their unwavering support, particularly during the election period. He commended their efforts and urged all gathered to remain united in their commitment to developing Ghana's youth.
Osman Abdulai Ayariga, a lawyer, architect, politician, and entrepreneur, has pledged to serve as a “chief servant” with humility, ensuring his leadership leaves a lasting legacy for the National Youth Authority and the youth it serves.
