The 4th Edition of the Pan- African Youth Forum officially launched in Algeria.

The 4th Edition of the Pan-African Youth Forum(PAYF) has officially been launched in Oran, Algeria, as part of this year's celebrations of African Youth Day.

This year's PAYF theme, "One Million Next level is Knocking: Educate an African fit for the 21st Century" will kick start conservations around education, employment, engagement, and entrepreneurship with the potential of equipping the youth with the necessary tools for sustainable development.

Emmanuel Boakye-Yiadom and Maame Serwaa Duah-Agyeman, both from the National Youth Authority, Ghana, were part of the over 3000 African youth that participated in this Pan-African Youth Forum.

The National Youth Authority stays committed to empowering the youth to facilitate national development.

Background

The African Youth Charter adopted in 2006 proclaimed the 1st of November as Africa Youth Day. The African Youth Charter and the AU Head of State and Governments Decision in Assembly/AU/Dec.660 (XXIX) July 2017 mandates the African Union to

institutionalize the Pan African Youth Forum on the Margins of the African Youth Day

on November 01 annually. The Pan African Youth Forum, initiated by the African Union, aims to channel youth voices in shaping

the continent's future by engaging youth in implementing Agenda 2063. It gathers

young African leaders, activists, innovators, and change-makers from various backgrounds and countries. The forum provides a space for dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas. It enables young Africans to address pressing issues, share experiences, and propose innovative solutions to the challenges facing their communities and the continent.
